A black shadow overcasts the LAVEX 2009 as 2 pilots of the Libyan Air Force 1023sq died while displaying their MiG-23 to the hundreds of visitors.
Words can not express how sorry I’m for the loss of these airmen

65 years ago the allied operation Market Garden took place this was remembered on the 19-September with a mass jump on the Ginkelse Heide near Ede in the Netherlands.

An uncommon bushfire in the Netherlands threatened the town of Schoorl in the northwest part of the country 200 residential homes where evacuated, no lives where lost and no privat property damaged although approximately 500 acres of woodland was burnt.
The Royal Netherlands Air Force assisted firemen tackling several fires with an AS.532U2 Cougar helicopter ( S-441).

Air Shows in Norway are always interesting and worth visiting.
The have perfect mix between warbirds and modern fighters and on this air show even commercial airliners participated as Norwegian is flying daily routes from this airfield.
On Sunday the weather was excellent however the photo conditions are not ideal with the sun directly in frond of the crowds nevertheless the Rygge Air Show was a big success.
